The Class of 2023 are enjoying their class trip. Today, they hiked Lake Katherine Nature Center and Botanic Gardens. They enjoyed a waterfall, lakeside trails, native trees, and a large Fox Snake, plus family activities. #ICSEagles #Classof2023

ICS 4th graders went to the Latino Arts Center with students from Bruce Guadalupe School. They inscribed clay butterflies with positive messages. The butterflies will eventually hang along the Washington Street fence. How beautiful! #ICSEagles

The Earth Dance Singers were also a part of the Night of Expression on May 19th, 2023. They sang traditional Haudenosaunee earth dance songs for families and guests as they viewed all the amazing student artwork on display. #ICSEagles

Kyle Worl (Tlingit), coach/athlete from Alaska visited ICS. Students learned the 2-ft high jump & Alaskan high kick. Arctic Sports are based on hunting & survival skills. Athletes compete in the Native Youth Olympics, World Eskimo-Indian Olympics & Arctic Winter Games. #ICSEagles

The Class of 2023 prepared a precious gift for younger students. They began their work in a good way, with prayer & tobacco. They learned to use tools, transplanted berries & helped one another transform the space. Other students will benefit for years to come. #ICSEagles
