Batch #3! ICS Hiking Club is having a blast this summer! These pics are of the students' recent hiking trip to Devils Lake / Parfrey's Glenn Hiking Trail. Hiking is a great way to be active outside, take in some gorgeous scenery and connect with Mother Earth. #ICSEagles

Last batch of bridges! ICS 4th graders designed bridges with the goal of being able to carry the most weight and 4 carried up to 15 lbs! Mr. Jones' bridge-building expertise led his bridge to hold 115 lbs! Howah / kāēqten-āēq? / howaa / ótshe• / wow, students! #ICSEagles






ICS 3rd graders in the Ojibwe classroom learned the story of the dreamcatcher. They offered their asemaa for red willow branches and used them to make their own dreamcatchers (with sinew). All of the dreamcatchers were finished by the last day of school! Howaa! #ICSEagles



ICS 4th graders were tasked to create a popsicle stick bridge that could carry the most weight. We had 4 groups reach up to 15 lbs! Mr. Jones' bridge-building expertise led his bridge to hold 115 lbs! Howah / kāēqten-āēq? / howaa / ótshe• / wow, students! #ICSEagles

Touted as "the greatest show UNDER the earth," ICS graduates visited Meramec Caverns as part of their Class Trip. Meramec Caverns is the largest cave system in Missouri, which is also known as the "Cave State," home to more than 6,000 caves. Who knew? #ICSEagles








ICS graduates went to Meramec Caverns on their Class Trip. These Caverns are a 4.6-mile system in the Ozarks that formed from limestone deposits over millions of years. Evidence of Native ancestors has been found in these caverns. 1st batch of pics. #ICSEagles
