Family Resource Center (FRC)

The Family Resource Center (FRC) at Indian Community School encourages families to be involved in their child’s school experience from early childhood through graduation and beyond.

We bring families together in fun and informative ways to build supportive relationships, learn important skills and help students and their families thrive.

Early Childhood Development

FRC also has early childhood development programs for parents and guardians of young Native American children (birth to 5 years). Programs such as Play and Learn, Early Childhood Education FAST Program, and a monthly Virtual Support Group focusing on providing caregivers of young children with resources.

Events and Programs for Families

FRC hosts special events and programming that strengthen ICS families, grow capacity, and support student achievement. Our FAST Program is tailored to grades K4 & K5, and grades 4 and 5, plus a special group for early childhood development (ECE FAST).

Our Family Camp takes place each August and provides ICS families with the opportunity to enjoy a camping experience with swimming, fishing, boating, family games, zip lining, cultural crafts, family meals, biking, and more.

Family Movie nights are unique opportunities for ICS families to watch popular movies on a big screen with other families at the school; complete with concessions, popcorn and prizes.
