Ms. Merryfield is a proud alumna of Indian Community School (ICS Class of 2003), and a member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. After graduating from ICS, she continued to develop her passion for writing at Milwaukee High School of the Arts. With over a decade of experience teaching K3 through K5, Ms. Merryfield has shown deep commitment to early childhood education. Ms. Merryfield is currently an Assistant Principal with Milwaukee Public Schools and is passionate about fostering student growth and supporting strong outcomes for students and their families. She is also a proud wife and mother to a three-year-old daughter and a seventeen-year-old son. Sariah looks forward to continuing her journey as an educational leader and shaping positive experiences for students, staff, and the ICS community.

“As an ICS alumnus, I remember the excitement of coming to school each day. My experiences here helped shape my path and who I am today. ICS gave me a strong foundation — personally, culturally, and academically,” Ms. Merryfield shared.
