Indian Community School only accepts educational applications when an ICS position is posted on WECAN. Applicants are required to use the WECAN site to complete an application and to attach necessary documents. The necessary documents include:

ICS Teachers use a variety of instructional strategies and are required to have knowledge and/or experience with Common Core State Standards, Differentiated Instruction, Response to Intervention processes (RtI), Formative, Summative and MAP assessments, and data-based decision-making. Teachers are also required to incorporate technology and Native American culture, language, and traditions into the curriculum. ICS utilizes the PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions & Support) framework for student behavior management, and our classroom size is limited to 20 students.
Positions for Other Professionals
Indian Community School employs various persons whose work supports our school. Examples may include teaching assistants, clerical staff, facilities, food service, information technology, accounting/finance, communications, etc. In addition to their job assignments, all employees are required to also learn one of the Native languages offered at our school (Ho-Chunk, Menominee, Ojibwe or Oneida), and to embrace our Mission, Vision and the Seven Sacred Gifts being: Bravery, Humility, Love, Honesty, Respect, Truth and Wisdom.
