Athletics & Physical Education

Students at ICS have the opportunity to participate in several sports, including the option to play Lacrosse, which is also referred to "the Creator's Game," and is one of our most popular indigenous sports.

Our ancestors played indigenous games for healing, to settle disputes, and to teach essential skills to use throughout life, which is also why we refer to these as "games of life."

Participating in sports is another way for students to learn the importance of effort, determination, self-discipline, teamwork, time management, eating well, exercise and stress relief, not to mention having fun!

During the winter months, when there's snow, we build a snow track and our students learn how to play snow snake.

We offer after-school sports such as football, baseball, basketball, fitness, lacrosse, running, soccer and volleyball.
