Leanna Klausegger
5th Grade Teacher
As an Interventionist, I work with students in grades 2 through 8 to help them find success in reading and math. I believe that helping students overcome reading and math struggles is important because a solid foundation in those skills is crucial to students’ success in school and in life. I want students to believe that even if they have struggled with math or reading, that they can be successful through hard work and perseverance. I believe very strongly in having a growth mindset and seeing challenges as opportunities to grow. In my work here at Indian Community School, I take great pride in helping students gain confidence in themselves as learners.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary English Education from Southeastern University and I am a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Thailand 2010-2012).
When I’m not working here at the School, I enjoy reading, cooking, and spending time with my family. I am very excited to be a part of the Indian Community School team and I look forward to learning and using Native languages!
