My name is Mrs. Katie Hayes and I am excited about my first year of teaching at the Indian Community School. I have 15 years of experience teaching K5 in two other districts.
I have a Bachelor’s of the Arts in Psychology, and am dually certified to teach Regular and Special Early Childhood Education.
I love making learning fun, meaningful, and hands-on for all of my little learners. I encourage kids to explore the world around them, discover and share the unique talents they have, and collaborate with their peers to learn and grow as a part of a community.
When I am not teaching I am busy with my family which includes my husband, two children, and a cat named Meelo! We love being outdoors, playing sports, and cheering on the Bucks!
