Ellie Kolosovsky
Interventionist
Haa, Posoh, Boozhoo, Shekóli, my name is Ms. Ellie and I have been working at Indian Community School since the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year. For many of our older students, I was their teaching assistant in 1st and 2nd grade. I am now working as a reading and math interventionist and have been in that position since 2019.
My passion is helping students find their "aha" moment in a subject that they may not love or that they haven't found confidence in yet. There is no greater feeling than when a student has graduated from my classroom and I get to see them in the hallways and hear about their successes at lunch, recess or after school. (But I sure do miss the time I had with them!)
As far as my own education, I graduated with my Master's in Education from Marian University and completed my undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
I spent several years licensing foster homes before I took time off to be with my family. I have two children, Luke and Samantha, who keep me very busy outside of school. Besides them, my other loves are being outdoors, reading, listening to music and playing with my dog. During the winter I keep myself busy cheering for the Packers and Bucks and reading as many new book releases as I can to add to my classroom library.
