Kayley Cichanski
Data Assessment Coordinator
My heart and passion has always been with education. At the Indian Community School, I am committed to motivating teachers to inspire students through an engaging, rigorous and well-rounded learning environment that not only challenges them in a student-centered environment, but also lights a fire for all to be lifelong learners.
I am currently the Data Assessment Coordinator at ICS where I administer & analyze data from all school assessments, coordinate our intervention program, guide teachers through the PLC process, and serve as an Instructional Coach.
Prior to my work at ICS, I taught 7th grade Math and Science at Forest Park Middle School in Franklin, WI. During my time there I served as the Interim Associate Principal in the Fall of 2020. This experience broadened my understanding of what it means to be a highly effective school leader who keeps staff and student well-being at the forefront of every decision.
Before moving to Wisconsin in 2019, I taught 5th grade and was a Professional Learning Community Coach at W.A. Johnson Elementary School in Bensenville, IL during my first five years as an educator.
I earned my Master of Arts in Principalship from Concordia University Chicago in December of 2018. My Capstone was a professional development plan based on Numeracy Consultants Interventions and Supports. My Literature Review included research on Autonomy Supportive Teaching and its effects on academic success and social-emotional learning.
Another title I currently hold is "wife." My husband and I got married in my hometown of Normal, IL on a beautiful summer day in 2022. We love to travel, so we took the trip of a lifetime to Hawaii for our honeymoon. When we’re not traveling, we love to try new restaurants, compete in volleyball & shuffleboard leagues, enjoy the outdoors, and spend quality time with friends & family.
