Kristen Keyser
4th Grade Teacher

This is my first year teaching at ICS and I am so honored to be here! I am a 4th grade teacher with an extensive background in math education and special education. I believe that every student can grow and achieve success. In my work here at Indian Community School, I am passionate about learning more about my students’ cultures, Native languages, and advocating in their best interests educationally.

Currently, I am learning the Oneida language (ukwehuwehneha). I am a trained math interventionist and instructional math coach. Also, I hold a Master’s degree in Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Connecticut.

When I’m not working here at the school, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have a daughter in 3rd grade and a son in K5. My husband is a Navy veteran. I also love cross stitching and cheering on my favorite sports teams! I am originally from Connecticut and love spending part of my summers at home on the beach with my niece.
