State Supreme Court ruling will NOT affect school closures

On Wednesday, May 13, 2020, the Wisconsin Supreme Court struck down Governor Tony Evers’ Safer At Home Order. While restrictions on businesses and gatherings have been lifted for the time being, the ruling does not affect current school closures in our state.
Thus, Indian Community School will remain closed for the remainder of the school year. We are continuing to consult with the Milwaukee Department of Health and the Franklin Health Department, regarding how this latest ruling may affect school programming and events in the future.
We encourage our students and families to continue practicing social distancing and adhere to the guidelines provided by the CDC and other health agencies. It is expected that Governor Evers and the Wisconsin Legislature will release a new plan for businesses and gatherings soon — we will be sure to share that information with you at that time.
If parents have any questions, please reach out to our Head of School, Mr Jason Dropik, by email at or by calling (414) 525-6118.
