Our Mission Statement

The Indian Community School cultivates an enduring cultural identity and critical thinking by weaving indigenous teachings with a distinguished learning environment.

ics remote learning begins april 6th!

Beginning April 6th, all ICS students in grades K4-8 will be required to participate in Remote Learning.

Our teachers and administrators are working together to ensure that instruction materials are ready and with that, we are asking parents to help their children be ready for this new learning experience as well.

Readiness means that all students will need a computer for learning. With that in mind, Chromebooks have been assigned to students in grades 2-8 and many parents have picked them up already. If you have not picked up your child’s Chromebook, please do so on Tuesday, March 24th, from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.

ICS students in K5 and 1st grade will be assigned an iPad to use for Remote Learning. Student iPads can be picked up at ICS on Tuesday, March 24th, from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Please know that we will work individually with families who have limited access or no access to the internet at home.  Please also note that parents/guardians will need to sign a release form in order to check out student Chromebooks and iPads.

We are grateful for your patience and support as we observe health guidelines and comply with local, state and federal authorities to make decisions in the best interest of our students, staff and the greater community. We recognize that closing places a significant burden on families, so we are looking for ways to lessen that burden including providing Remote Learning opportunities for all of our students.

Remote Learning is a new experience for all of us!  We are excited about this new challenge and the possibilities that Remote Learning can offer to our students!

Please continue to take necessary precautions to stay in good health and if you have any questions, please call 414-525-6100 or email jdropik@ics-edu.org.
