Boozhoo! I support literacy learning and instruction on behalf of each student at ICS. I am passionate about literacy because being able to comprehend and communicate from multiple perspectives, including the Sacred Gifts, helps children understand and appreciate themselves and others. In collaboration with all teachers at ICS, we get to provide a foundation in literacy that opens doors for our children no matter where they go next or what they want to do in their lives. I am so grateful to be a part of the ICS team!

I have always loved learning, teaching and being in schools! My licenses include Elementary and Special Education, Administrative Leadership, Curriculum/Instruction, and Reading Teacher/Specialist. I earned my Master’s degree in Education at Alverno College – a very special place to me for the way it has empowered people from all walks of life to achieve their dreams.

When I’m not at school, I love being with my people! I have four amazing kids and a great big family who reminds me of who I am and how blessed we are to have each other. I love making things – jewelry, gardens, healthy meals, and especially a home where everyone feels welcome. I love taking long walks with my dog, being outside, listening to music, volunteering at Milwaukee Literacy Services, and of course – I love to read!
