Spring Social Dances

ICS parents and families are invited to join us for a series of Haudenosaunee social dances to celebrate Spring and the arrival of warm winds!  If you’re unfamiliar with traditional Haudenosaunee social dances, this is a wonderful opportunity to come watch and learn!

Monday, May 6, 2019: K4 through 2nd grade, 1:30 pm – 2:55 pm

Friday, May 17, 2019  : 6th through 8th grade, 1:30 pm – 2:55 pm

Monday, May 20, 2019 : 3rd through 5th grade, 1:30 pm – 2:55 pm

Social Dances will be held in the Gym

Each social dance begins and ends with the Thanksgiving Address recognizing the life-sustaining gifts from the Creator. Our students will do their very best to express gratitude to all of creation as they sing and dance. Everyone is encouraged to wear ribbon skirts, ribbons shirts or vests, moccasins and a big, bright smile!
